Solving cryptic crosswords has become a major hobby of mine. It is the most absorbing, fun, creative thing to do with just a crossie and a pencil, with a cup of coffee

I started doing cryptic crosswords around class X, and i used to see the Hindu Crossword everyday. It took me three weeks to solve my first clue !
Since then, i have come a little way and when i came to IIT Kanpur, there were only one or two guys who knew how to these things. But slowly, we have managed to teach three-four more.now, we are a group of seven-eight who discuss and solve clues now and then.

I am a total novice at 65 yrs of age. I want to get to solve crosswords on a daily basis, but have no clue how to styart, any help is welcome
try and put some easy clues with explanations. they will get some start. add clues from the workshop u conducted
